Lila and a Giveaway

What a lovely weekend this is turning out to be! I am thrilled to share such brilliant talent in the last two posts, and now, a lovely giveaway from an eclectic indie boutique store in New Delhi – Lila!
Lila
was set up in Late 2011 by Shruti Narayan, an architect – as a design lab based in Shahpur Jat, New Delhi
with a vision to be experimental using the simplest of ingredients with a
desire to create a series of designs that are both minimalistic in appearance
as well rich in craftsmanship.  Lila strives to use only pure and
natural materials that are locally sourced and fabricated.

As a design philosophy – Lila celebrates solid colors and develops
textures and patterns through a play of these solid colors resulting in vibrant
tones draped in bold silhouettes – giving not only a laid back vibe but a sense
of quiet sophistication.

  1. To offset the voluminous top, I'd pair it with a hot red / coral orange ankle length skinny and accessorize it with a rose gold hammered Egyptian style hand cuff. Loose beachy waves and gladiator sandals in dark tan color. All set for an evening out at the beach.

  2. I would wear it with a white chanderi sari handed down by my grandmother with nice chunky silver jewellery.. will go and check out the store in Shahpur jat.. lovely stuff

  3. Lovely all items. The dress in blue and pink so cute. I 'm living in Madrid-Spain and this summer will be fresh with those colors. Can I buy on line?

I now New Delhi! wonderful people and city.

  4. “An Indian summer” needs light and airy summer fabric. I would team it up with a pair of camel color linen trouser or a cotton kalamkari wrap harem pants. Accessories it with Chunky beaded tribal style necklace and a flat ankle beaded bohemian sandals…….I would love to wear it for my husband’s birthday which is 25 days from now………Hopefully I would receive my parcel from Lilal by then………Sujatha

  5. Love the blog! I would wear this with some awesome linen pants, a great pair of linen flats, and twinkly sparkly dangly earrings. Then, I would make my husband take me out for Indian. 🙂 If I am a lucky winner, you can reach me at: supdike122@aol.com

  6. Kalamkari print pencil pants in black & white, accessorised with simple gold & pearl jhumkas and worn with dull gold stilettos, to a theatre festival or sangeet.

  7. Kalamkari print pencil pants in black & white, accessorised with simple gold & pearl jhumkas and worn with dull gold stilettos, to a theatre festival or sangeet.

  8. Dark blue silk cotton dhoti pants (not too wide), gold hoop earrings with tiny gold balls, band a simple pair of mojari/khussa for the Tamil new year that's coming up.

  9. I would wear it with a blue Patiala style Salwaar with wide 'pauncha' & pleats and wear it to a Summer festival with folk music and traditional crafts

  10. It can be perfectly paired with sleek leggings or skinny jeans and worn along with bright accessories for a summer casual look or paired with cotton pants and silver jewellery for an evening wear

  11. I absolutely love the pink lining. I would wear it with capri leggings in that same color with sandals, hair up in a messy bun. I can see myself wearing this at the Saturday market at the riverside. (I am enjoying your blog by the way, thank you!)

  12. I'd team this up with white/ Ivory culottes, a pair of red kohlapuris, silver brass earings by Pallavi Gandhi and to complete the look I'd wear my CONFIDENCE.
Look out for the new ' Lila ' girl 🙂

  13. I'd love to team this up with a pair of white/ ivory culottes, red kohlapuris, silver and brass earings by Pallavi Gandhi and to top it up, I'd wear my CONFIDENCE.
    The new ' Lila' girl's here :))

  14. I would pair this beautiful wrap blouse with my red dhoti pants to save me from this summer heat while attending all the crowded music festivals happening in the city and with bright chino's during the night for a relaxed night out 🙂

  15. Would look lovely with a linen trouser and red and blue turquoise jewellery, and team up with a colourful chiffon scarf around the neck.

  16. Such a beautiful blouse would look lovely paired with cropped chinos or skinny jeans in a dusky coral colour and brushed gold accessories.
It would be lovely to wear at a casual summer gathering of family and/or friends
